Decajazz was originally a 10 piece mini-big band made up of sixth form students at the Coopers’ Company and Coborn School in Upminster, Essex. Formed in 2006 under the leadership of Chris ‘Ruckyboy’ Ruck, Decajazz have performed all over London and Essex at a variety of events and have helped to raise over £25,000 for various charities. They continue to perform to this day with an expanded line up of 15 multi-instrumentalists playing the music of all the classic big bands of the 1930′s and 40′s.
